One Gymnast at a Time…

Over the last week, I’ve shared some stories of some great gymnasts that I have had the privilege to coach. I have many more in my gym who would inspire you as well. But I also know that other coaches have inspiring stories of their own gymnasts.
The common theme about all of these gymnasts is that none of them are elite athletes; none of them are hoping to make the Olympic team. These athletes are what I call the “Everyday Gymnast.” They are the ones who love the sport for the sport. They live and breathe gymnastics. It’s what they do and how they identify themselves.
Coaches have the opportunity to help shape and mold the character of the gymnasts we have under our roofs. We get to help them sort out their problems, learn how to manage stress, time, goals, ripped hands, injures, and more through the life lessons that we can reinforce as a result of being who we are and what we do.
Join the Gym Rats One Gymnast at a Time Facebook group today so you can collaborate with other gymnastics parents and coaches to make gymnastics a sport that we can all be proud to be a part of.
Let’s create a NEW gymnastics culture, one gymnast at a time. Concentrate on your gymnast, the one who means the most to you.
